DATELINE: Memory Lane, TX
Monday night I drove over to a neighborhood I used to frequent while living in Dallas (Lower Greenville) and visited some old haunts. It's been awhile, maybe 10-12 years, but I managed to remember where places were.
Ships is a total dive and I found it chock full of the same degenerate alcoholics I remembered. This is also where my miserable ex-wife and I had our first date.
Milos Char Bar is a great place that somehow has survived the re-development in the neighborhood. I had planned on getting myself a fabulous dinner but couldn't resist the Hickory Burger at Milo's. When the burger showed up I unwrapped the wax paper and immediately remember the smell of the hickory sauce. Adale made fun of me that I can't remember anything important but did remember the hickory sauce but she would understand if she had ever tasted one of those burgers.
I bet Carrie wishes the burger picture was scratch'n'sniff.
I bought a bong here. Probably some screens too.
I also stopped at the Winedale Tavern, another dump I used to hang out at. Good times.

BREAKING NEWS: JESS DUMPED BRETT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Page Six is reporting that Jess & Brett are no longer together. After the show ended, Jess went back to Chicago and not long afterwards called Brett and broke it off with him, saying that she was dating someone else. I could have told Brett that she was not interested in him at all. Heather would never, ever have left Brett - even Big John couldn't get her fake, glitter encrusted claws out of Brett's hide.

ROCK OF LOVE FINALE
Well, Brett made his decision and selected the girl who he wants to Rock his world and I think he screwed up. The final 2 gals are Heather
and Jess
Even though I think that Heather was the best gal for him hands down, Brett chose Jess. That decision was pretty much inevitable because Jess is younger a somewhat cuter. Brett was concerned that Heather was a stripper & because his heart had been broken by a stripper before, every stripper is untrustworthy. The thing is is that I really think that being a rock star's wife is one of Heather's dreams and that would mean that she would do anything & everything to make that happen and keep it. She is ferocious and would have fought tooth and nail for Brett. There was something a little phony about her dedication to Brett, that part of it was a dedication to being a rock star's wife, but that phoniness would fuel her drive to stay with Brett.
There was also a phoniness about Jess but I couldn't put my finger on it. I don't think she really cared that much about Brett. I would bet that they will not be together in a year. After the honeymoon's over and he's back on the road it'll be less than 6 months before she leaves him.

Wednesday we went & hung out with Adale's dad. He's recovering from an accident at work - a rock fell onto his leg & he'll be off of work for maybe a month. Nothing broke but it's all black, blue, and orange. We helped Spike with the computer (we're his tech support) and then went off to Wing Night at the Jefferson Hotel. They have big, whole wings, not little wing dings. The pictures aren't pretty but boy oh boy they're tasty.

The Man has been swamped with TPS reports to complete and is not sure when he'll be able to post something interesting. I've got some fun pictures from Rapid City - including one of myself riding a giant Jack-0-Lope - that I hope to be able to to put up soon. In the mean time, here's a statement from Brandi C on her recent career moves:

I do read each and every message, and the vast majority of them are really very sweet. So thank you guys so much, and keep them coming. Yes it is me, but what you all should know is that I am not actually in the adult entertainment business. What you are seeing is something that I decided to try out and see what it was like. I did it after the show was done filming, so that is why you won't hear about it on there. We finished filming back in March, and a few weeks after I got home I was kinda bored. I have a couple of girl-friends in the business who love their jobs, so I was curious what it was like, and if that was something I wanted to pursue. I talked to them about it, and Roxy from MetroTalent hooked me up with some gigs. It was fun, but I decided it wasn't for me and moved on. So what you see is all you get. I tried it out, got it out of my system, been there done that, the end. I'm young, and I've always had this passion to get all I could out of life by trying things at least once. So there you go. ;) So what is next? There's a ton of projects I am working on that are so exciting and I will tell you about them as soon as I can. As for right now I am working on press and promotion for the show with interviews, appearances, and now running my much larger myspace network ;) My girl Heather from the A Team will be here tomorrow (thursday) and we have a lot of things planned for the weekend. ROCK OF LOVE LIVE-BLOGGING
Ok y'all, I'm not sure how well this exercise went, but I wrote a bunch of stupid comments while I was watching the premier of Rock of Love (they're in reverse order below). It might be the first and only time I ever do this. Because every post has a time stamp, you could fire up the Tivo or go to youtube, watch the show & read my comments - it's as if The Man was in your living room hanging out!
After one gal got cut they let her mumble a few incoherent sentences and then say "I guess he doesn't like the smart ones.'

The show has been anticlimactic but I think it's a function of having so many gals on the first show. Like the recent presidential debates, you actually can too many skanks in one room. However, I think that the next episodes will be better because they'll be able to develop story lines and character arcs.

I like that when we get the solo commentary from Brett about his reactions to each gal, he picks out something and says "but you know, that kind of turns me on." One girl is distant. "but it's kind of sexy", another can't but a complete sentence together, "strangely I find it hot"...
