DATELINE: Eastern Shore, Virginia
I'm back in VA and rolling through my second week of interviews. The weekend in Pittsburgh was nice except for the extreme hives attack on Saturday. Adale and I went out to some junk stores and my face started to itch & the bumps began to show up. It wasn't long before I looked pretty fucked up but I had planned on going to the doctor later in the day I didn't worry about it. It finally was too much and we went to the doctor where I realized that the hives were out of control.
Saturday was a little chilly so while we were running around I was bundled up, but when I got into the examining room I took my jacket & sweater off & saw that the bumps were all over my face & the parts of my neck & shoulder exposed by my t-shirt. I took my shirt off and Jesus Christ if I wasn't covered completely in red welts...I took my pants off and I was covered head to toe. I got a little hyped up while talking to the doctor because I was a little worried that these things wouldn't go away before I left the next day for a week of travel, or if they did go away they would show up Monday or Tuesday.
The doctor gave me three shots and a mess of new pills. Thank god the bumps were gone by Sunday morning. I'll have to ask Adale to send some of the pictures she took with her phone
I don't what caused them. They're doing allergy tests on my blood to find out but I am a tiny bit worried that it'll be something I don't want to quit eating, like tomatoes (no pizza!) or wheat (no Wheat Thins!) . The hives started my second week in Maryland (I think) and the weekend before that second week I had some octopus, so maybe it's seafood. An allergy to seafood wouldn't be the worst thing, not like an allergy to pizza or beer or donuts.
A few bumps came back tonight on my face but not too bad. Hopefully thees new steroids & anti-histamines will take care of them.
Until tomorrow bitches.
